Mat Bartram - Engineer

Mat Bartram

Mat graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University, but having decided that it was another path he wished to follow, he joined the studio as an assistant at the end of 1999.

Decades later he has worked on a large number of varied film, TV and album projects from the natural history epics Planet Earth and Life, to films such as In Bruges and Nine.

He has recorded projects with classical artists such as Nigel Kennedy, Piotr Beczala and Craig Ogden, and also orchestral sessions for the likes of Florence and the Machine, Labrinth, Professor Green, Katie Melua and Seal, in the process working with producers such as Trevor Horn, Paul Epworth and Rich Costey.

Mat has also worked extensively in the film and TV world, on projects like Quirke and The Crimson Field for composer Rob Lane, and Breathless and the upcoming BBC adaptation of Poldark with Anne Dudley.
