The production team, which includes executive producer Alastair Fothergill and series producer Vanessa Berlowitz, responsible for the award-winning "The Blue Planet (2001)" and "Planet Earth (2006)," return with "Frozen Planet." David Attenborough, once again, narrates the series which is entirely shot in HD.

As with Blue Planet and Planet Earth, the score was composed by George Fenton, played by the BBC Concert Orchestra and recorded and mixed by Steve Price. George utilised the large recording space in Angel Studio 3, and the extensive mixing capabilities of the Euphonix System-5 in studio 2.

The seven-part series focuses on life and the environment in both the Arctic and Antarctic. As climate change affects landforms such as glaciers, ice shelves and the extent of sea ice, the production team were keen to film a comprehensive record of the natural history of the polar regions.

Angel Studios played host to some of the UK's rap artists to record solos on a mass participation acapella performance of a new track called 'We are the People.'

The group, entitled 'The Rap Beatbox Choir,' is part of a major online commission from Channel 4, making up part of the Street Summer arts season. Paul Gladstone Reid, Akala, and Beardyman composed the original track, featuring performances from Ms Dynamite, Lady Leshurr, and Wretch 32. The track is available on YouTube, where members of the public can interact and upload their own performance.

The project will climax with a film that edits together the professional performances and the user generated videos to create the world's largest rap beatbox choir. The film will be broadcast as part of Channel 4's 'Random Acts' strand.

Emeli Sandé, pictured here recording an acoustic version of her track 'Maybe' in Studio 3 back in March 2011, returned recently to add a string section to her debut album with Angel engineer Steve Price in Studio 1, assisted by Jeremy Murphy. The album entitled 'Our Version of Events' will be released in February 2012.

Emeli has written tracks for Alesha Dixon, Professor Green, Cheryl Cole and Tinie Tempah as well as completing a medical degree. Definitely someone to look out for when her album is released early next year.
